Accuracy matters more than being unembarrassed. If we publish something incorrect, we want to know, and we will correct it.

Reporting an error

If you believe an article contains a factual error, please contact us with the article title or link, the specific statement you are questioning, and, if you have it, the source that shows the correct information. Reports that cite a source are the fastest for us to act on.

How we handle corrections

• Clear factual errors are corrected in the article as soon as they are verified.
• Significant corrections, those that change the meaning of a claim, are noted at the foot of the affected article, with the date.
• Minor fixes (typos, formatting) are made without a note.
• If a claim cannot be substantiated after review, we remove it rather than leave it standing.
